Downtown Miami includes 4 distinct areas: Brickell, Park West, the Central Business District and Midtown, which is then divided into the Wynwood and Edgewater districts. The area has a number of attractions for both locals and tourists, including the Miami Art Museum, Miami Arena Events, the Historical Museum of Southern Florida, the Maurice Gusman Center for the Performing Arts and the American Airlines Arena. Downtown Miami is also home to a number of restaurants and shops, making homes and condos here extremely desirable.

Real estate in Downtown Miami continues to expand upward and is sometimes referred to as the Manhattan of the South. Luxury condominiums are popular downtown, especially those along Brickell Avenue. Brickell Key remains one of the most popular areas downtown, offering luxury properties like Asia Brickell Key. Other condos popular with professionals downtown are 50 Biscayne, across from Bayfront Park, and Icon Brickell.
