Give Your Lounge A New Vibe With These Tips

Over time, the living room starts to look like a mini storage room because each family member uses it to put something he or she wants and then just leaves it lying around. Follow these simple ideas to make it look better.

  1. Organize

So, the first thing you need to do to change the feel of your living room is clean it up. Sort out the things you have put there that are the same. For example, neatly stack and place books, seating, cushions, etc. Place them neatly, not all over the place. This will make the room feel better right away. Clean it up and give it some space! Take away everything that is not needed.

  1. Hang Mirrors

Put mirrors in the right places to make the living room feel bigger and more open. You can also use mirrors to reflect the natural light coming into the room or the beautiful lamps and lights you have set up.

  1. Clean out your cupboards and storage

Sort through and clean up all the cabinets and other storage spaces in the living room. Get rid of broken, old, and unused things like books, dishes, other reading materials, oddities, etc. Give the places to store things a new look. Change the knobs and handles to more modern ones, put the drawers on rails, have a mix of open and closed shelves, and put small LED lights inside to show off any decorations you may have put in there.

  1. Change the fabrics and upholstery

The same pattern on the seat covers and curtains gets old. If your budget allows it, you should get new ones. If not, use drapes from other rooms to change the living room’s look. Get some colorful pillow covers and put them around. Lace or ribbon can be used to tie them up. Change the rods on the curtains. Put some colorful, ethnic tapestries on the backs of the sofa or chair seats. The bright colors and patterns will make the room brighter and give it a new look.

  1. Turn It On

Let as much natural light into the room as possible. It gives you more light without using more electricity. Instead of putting tubes and bulbs in the middle of the ceiling, put them on the side walls.

  1. Decorations and ornaments

Picture frames, certificates, and other wall decorations can be hung in key places. To give the walls a new look, re-paint the frames, clean the dust off them, and put lights near them. If you want a modern look, you should stay away from designs that are too complicated. Choose frames with rounded corners and hand-painted or ethnic paintings. Use mostly neutral colors and a few bright and bold ones as accents.

  1. Put down rugs and rearrange the furniture

By putting down one or more rugs from Madison Lily, you can change the look of the floor and add color and comfort to the room. Change the way the furniture is set up. A small change can make a big difference in the room. Mix up the patterns and materials you use. Break up the same patterns and designs in the room.
